Anti-racism & Equity in Farming

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Are you wondering how to be an effective ally to BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of colour) and a good treaty person while immersed in the business of growing food / flowers / community? What are some ways you have successfully increased equity for your farm team members or supported this work in your community? What are some questions you have around advancing anti-racism and equity for those facing systemic barriers, in the farming sector or on your own farm or on a farm where you are a worker?

Join Executive Director Ali English, and Equity and Organizational Change Manager Angel Beyde, for updates on EFAO’s Anti-Racism and Equity work over the past year. Then we invite you to share your questions, ideas and goals around this important work. How can the EFAO board and staff team support members in advancing equity work, through farmer-to-farmer knowledge sharing, training or other resources? What would you like to hear other farmers talk about? What kind of training would be helpful for you? This community conversation is a supportive, open-minded and solutions-oriented space with the goal of helping our farm businesses and communities thrive.

Our shared goals, questions, best practices and challenges will be used to shape a Farming for Justice webinar series that will take place over winter 2022.
