Journey of a Soil Farmer

After over a decade of trial and error, consulting with experts, and a deep dive down the rabbit hole of soil health, Evan Quigley has found a combination of strategies that are proving to be very efficient at producing some of the best quality vegetables possible. Participants will be taken on a journey through Evan's successes and failures with large compost applications, compost teas, rock dusts, mineral balancing, biweekly foliar sprays and fertigation. These often expensive and labour intensive trials ultimately helped him find the right combination of strategies for optimal soil health. Evan says, “When everything is in balance,  the soil's physical, chemical and biological properties are taken care of, and the crop can get the nitrogen it needs when it needs it. As a result, you have less waste, amazing yields and awesome quality that customers want.”
