After studying art in Halifax at NSCAD, Evan worked in the Toronto restaurant scene, painted and travelled extensively before moving to an old farm house in Eastern Ontario and starting The Kitchen Garden farm back in 2009. The farm grew quickly from humble beginnings into a profitable and efficient market garden. An experimenter and craftsman, Evan bought and built everything that might work to find the best fit for his farm systems resulting in a low-tech and practical farm business model. When not farming, Evan can be found working on VeggieCropper, crop planning and order management software for vegetable and flower growers.
